Yesterday, I posted a detailed platform highlighting where I stand and why I stand there on a number of key issues in the ward and in the city. These have come after a lot of conversations, consultations, research, and thought.
One of the things I have heard a lot from residents about the last four years has been that they have not been sure where their Council and their Councillor stand on key issues.
Personally, I have too often found that you don’t normally hear anything more than a ten second sound bite from a politician about what they think regarding the issues that matter to you.
This platform, this website, and the hundreds of conversations I have had and continue to have with residents from all corners of the ward is about doing this differently.
If you don’t have a lot of time, each section of my platform has a few lines about each issue. But if you want to know more, to understand more, about what I really think our challenges are, why they matter, and how I will work to solve them, I have written a lot more.
I want to invite you to take as long a look as you like at my platform. But I also want you to let me know what you think and what has led you to see your particular issue in your particular way. These are the conversations at doors all across the ward that have energized me and these are the conversations I hope releasing this platform will spark.
