Neighbourhood Associations

I believe that Neighbourhood and Homeowner’s Associations are at the heart of our community life. They have a unique sense of what issues are important and what challenges need to be overcome for everyone in our neighbourhoods to enjoy a high quality of life.

Neighbourhood and homeowners’ associations are an important part of life here in Waterloo. Though each is unique in the events or services it provides and the number of people it represents or involves, each association contributes to the character of the diverse neighbourhoods in our city.

Many have formed over particular issues that galvanized their neighbourhood, and others, such as the many homeowners’ associations in Beechwood, were formed by the original developers to manage local community assets such as pools and tennis courts.

I believe that these associations are at the heart of our community life. They have a unique sense of what issues are important and what challenges need to be overcome for everyone in our neighbourhoods to enjoy a high quality of life. From Northdale and Sugarbush to Beechwood and Maple Hills, as your City Councillor you would have my support so that we can make sure that your needs are understood and your concerns are heard by City Hall.
